Is pain stopping you from sleeping, making you feel restless and easily irritated through your day?
Do you have to constantly change position through the day because you can't get comfortable and you are now having to take pain killers because the pain has got so bad?
Are you struggling to exercise because of your pain and it's frustrating you?
Wouldn't it be great to not have to think about your pain all the time, to enjoy exercising again and be able to sit comfortably at work? How would it feel to stop taking the pain killers and feel free to move normally again?
If the answer is "YES", call us today and let us assess you and explain how we can reduce your pain, get you moving again and allow you to get back to normal everyday life without pain.
IS PHYSIOTHERAPY FOR YOU?
Physiotherapy is all about restoring your normal movement and function, helping to restore you to the best version of you.
This could mean being able to sit, pain free at your desk at work, achieve a PB at the Park Run or go for your favourite walk without having to stop due to pain.
Physiotherapy can help with a huge number of issues, some of which includes:
- Back pain
- Sports Injuries/Soft tissue injury
- Neck pain
- Repetitive strain injury
- Posture-related pain
- Nerve impingement
WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
Our Physiotherapists will give you a warm welcome to the clinic and introduce themselves. We will then ask you a series of questions to better understand your current issue and how it is affecting your daily life.
Once we’ve chatted to you we will perform a thorough assessment of the affected areas and also have a look at other areas of the body that may be contributing to your current pain.
You will be given a full explanation of your diagnosis and will also receive treatment in this first session and be given specific exercises to help you recover.
All our appointments are a minimum of 1 hour as we believe this allows us to assess and treat you to the best of our ability.
FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS
We will begin with a quick check of your progress and revise any exercises you were given so you know you’re doing them well. The full session is then dedicated to treating your issue.
We use a hands-on approach and treatment may include:
- Soft tissue/myofascial release
- Joint mobilisation
- Nerve mobilisation/release
- Rehabilitation exercises
- Core exercises/Pilates
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY APPOINTMENTS?
We want you to feel comfortable so we often advise wearing shorts and a sports bra top/vest for the ladies. It may also be useful to see your training shoes so we can assess any wear/tear and complete a running assessment if necessary.
