Perhaps you simply want to spend an hour relaxing after a hard days’ work, Pilates can help maintain your physical and emotional wellbeing.
Here at Flex Pilates we deliver a Modified Pilates exercise programme based on that of the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI), targeting core muscles thus positioning the spine into an optimal position, helping the rest of the body to function more efficiently.
All the classes are delivered by fully qualified Physiotherapists using modified versions of the Traditional exercises originally developed by Joseph Pilates. The fact that the exercises are modified means that they are very safe if you are recovering from or have an injury, have had surgery, have weakened back or neck muscles or are pregnant. All the teachers have been trained to be able to adapt the exercises to suit your needs and requirements meaning you will achieve the results you want in a safe environment.
Flex Pilates delivers a variety of classes including ones specific to runners, ante and postnatal clients and also more general classes suitable for everyone and at any level. Classes also make use of small equipment to enhance the exercises, making them more or less challenging to the client.
All staff at Flex Pilates are fully qualified Modified Pilates Instructors and have been trained by the APPI method. The teachers also maintain up-to-date training regularly to deliver the best classes possible.
